The Discovery Team

Our Discovery organization sits at the center of our marketplace, building worldclass Search, Recommendation, and intentcollection systems that power brands such as Foodpanda, eFood, Glovo, PedidosYa, HungerStation and Talabatserving millions of requests every day. These systems are missioncritical for an alwayson marketplace, demanding high availability and lowlatency performance while driving significant commercial value. We engineer closed feedback loops that weave together data, machine learning, and realtime serving infrastructure to delight consumers worldwide. The scale and impact are massive, whether we're surfacing the perfect latenight burger or scheduling groceries for tomorrows breakfast.

The Role

We are looking for a Director, Product Management (Consumer Discovery) to evolve our global recommendations & search stack, champion the vision of one unified Discovery Engine, and pioneer agentic LLMpowered experiences that make choosing what to order effortless. You will lead and grow a team of talented Product Managers while partnering with Engineering, Data Science, and brand product teams to rethink the traditional search stack and unlock experiences once considered impossible.

What Youll Do

• Define the discovery vision & long term roadmap: Set strategy for search, recommendations, and personalization across app, chat, voice, and emerging interfaceswhile proactively scouting AI and commerce trends to surface highpotential experiments that unlock new revenue streams.
• Build & evangelize agentic search: Design, launch, and iterate on LLMpowered conversational and retrievalaugmented experiences; drive adoption by running demos, workshops, and training to align Engineering, Data Science, UX, and Commercial stakeholders.
• Own commercial impact: Tie every major project to clear business KPIsGMV lift, conversion improvements, cost efficienciesand report ROI to senior leadership.
• Drive a datainformed culture: Empower PMs and crossfunctional partners with selfserve analytics, experimentation frameworks, and storytelling skills so that quantitative and qualitative datafrom funnels and cohorts to user interviews and field studiesfuel rapid, insightled decisions.
• Own metrics endtoend: Define KPI trees and review metrics daily/weekly; rapidly experiment to hit ambitious GMV & engagement targets.
• Scale & coach talent: Hire, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of Product Managers with deep AI/ML expertise, fostering a culture of learning and psychological safety.
• Drive stakeholder alignment: Rally crossfunctional partnersEngineering, Data, UX, Commercial, and brand product teamsbehind a common roadmap and phased rollout plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in product management with deep ML focus, including 5+ years leading ecommerce search, recommendations, or relevance systems serving 100M+ monthly sessions.
• Demonstrated handson expertise in IR systems, vector & graph search, embedding models, ranking algorithms, contextual bandits, and reinforcement learning.
• Track record of hiring and developing highperforming PM teams and uniting crossfunctional, multiregional organizations behind largescale transformations.
• Analytical, datadriven mindset with a bias for action; comfortable diving into SQL/notebooks, defining new metrics, and iterating quickly in ambiguous environments.
• Business & technical fluency: Able to discuss EBITDA impact with commercial teams, latency budgets with Infrastructure, and ethical considerations with Legal.
• Superb communication skills in English (spoken & written)

• Experience in food delivery or quick commerce
• History of launching and scaling consumerfacing products to millions of users across multiple geographies.
