Your Role

Are you passionate about shaping the future of real estate investment? Invesco Real Estate is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Director, Investment Strategy to join our Munich-based team!

In this role, you will be at the heart of our research-driven approach, helping to define and deliver data-led investment strategies across European real estate markets. Youll collaborate with a dedicated team of strategists and investment professionals, leveraging deep market insights to identify opportunities, support decision-making, and communicate our views to both internal and external stakeholders.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside senior sector and research specialists, gaining exposure to fund management, transactions, and asset management teams across Europe. Youll play a key role in producing our renowned House View reports and translating complex market intelligence into actionable investment perspectives for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse European economies and forecast real estate market trends, supporting presentations for colleagues and clients.
  • Collaborate with the strategy team to interpret the House View and produce high-quality research materials.
  • Develop specialist knowledge of selected economies, markets, and sectors, and contribute to the evolution of our forecasting systems and investment views.
  • Apply statistical analysis methods to uncover relationships and trends in real estate performance.
  • Maintain and enhance the quality of our European real estate data set, building a network of local market experts.
  • Undertake special projects, such as thematic market reports and investigations into capital flows and market pricing.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a commercial real estate environment, ideally with a fund manager; European market research experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with native-level German and high professional proficiency in English; additional European languages are an asset.
  • Ability to present technical analysis clearly and concisely.
  • Strong numeracy and computer skills (Microsoft Office essential); knowledge of applied statistics, econometric modelling, advanced analytics, or programming is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, logical, and structured approach to tasks, with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Confident, independent thinker who can challenge views constructively and proactively solve problems.
